Jose + Leslyn: Sneak Peek

Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending some time with Jose and Leslyn. They had an uncommon midday Thursday wedding. It was fabulous! The ceremony and reception was held at the lovely Villa Christina. It was a blustery day but the bride LOVED it! She said it was exactly what she wanted, which is why she picked this month for the date.

Their fantastic personalities were matched by the love of their family and friends. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The intimate group was perfect for the location and everyone seemed to have just as good a time as did the Bride and Groom.

Jose and Leslyn- You guys were great! Leslyn, I have never been able to describe anyone as very energetic but so laid back before. You definately fit that to a T! Not to mention you looked georgous! You were so easy to work with and had a ton of great ideas. Your smile lights up the room and the lens! Jose, you looked very sharp and were also great to work with. You are two of the most genuine people I have ever met. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your day!

The flowers were made the night before by the BRIDE! They were beautiful!

I love this shot. Leslyn was so excited. How could you not be smiling around someone as joyful as her?!

Jose looking quite handsome for the camera.

The bride and groom chose to see each other before the wedding and get all the pictures out of the way. They were able to take a little more time and get some great shots like this! Not to mention, no pictures after the ceremony = more time to party!

The picturesque Villa Christina during the ceremony.

This image describes Leslyn so well. This was during the ceremony when she just couldn't contain her happiness. She was laughing, crying tears of joy and all the while taking moments to fix Jose's boutonniere!

The beautiful (and delicious) cake with a flower topper that Leslyn also made.

This Saturday we were thrilled to have our first shoots in the new studio. We were even more thrilled to meet Ella and her parents for her 3 month session! Ella and her mom were SO photogenic and were great with direction and posing. Just beautiful! I can't wait to see them again for Ella's 6 month session! Here is a glimpse at the session...

Nicole + Keith: Sneak Peek

On a very unusual Friday wedding, Nicole and her fiance Keith were in their separate rooms at Rhodes Hall getting ready for their ceremony. Nicole was rushing around making sure everything was done the way she wanted it but was the most calm bride I have ever seen. She handed a card to send to her future husband to her maid of honor. A few minutes later, her bridesmaid returned empty handed. "He said, 'Was I supposed to get her a card?' when I handed him yours," she remarked. "YES!" Nicole laughed while rolling her eyes. I couldn't help but giggle because it reminded me of me and my husband. Nicole wasn't at all upset. However, about 5 minutes into her formals, someone appeared with a handwritten letter. It was from Keith. I melted. So sweet! That really set the tone for the rest of the evening. The intimate ceremony and reception were absolutely amazing and Nicole and Keith looked stunning.

Nicole and Keith - We truly had a blast! Thank you both so much for allowing us to capture your wedding day. You guys are so laid back and fun, I hope we can work with you much more in the future!

-M

Nicole's dress was beautiful! I love it when brides have it hung in a perfect spot!

The shoes... love the shoes.

Nicole and Keith looking good. Nicole knew exactly how to pose. Keith on the other hand asked to be instructed to a T. Either way is fine with us... we are happy to work with couples however they wish!

The adorable handmade cake topper that told the story of their courtship.

The favors for the guests were bags of "cookiedoodle" (is that it Nicole?) coffee beans. Yummy!

One of my favorites. This was at the top of Rhodes Hall. It was a hike but Nicole and Keith were troopers. What a view!

Isn't this place amazing? A perfect match for Nicole and Keith.

They were all nice for about, oh... 5 seconds.

Nicole, you wanted to make our website... this shot will do it! It cracks me up every time I see it. Your dad had a little different reaction when he saw it during the reception haha!

And finally, the lovely Fiona... Keith's car and the couple's get-away car. Notice the custom license plate.

Kathie + Nick: Sneak Peek

Kathie and Nick are awesome. That about is all you need to know. Their idea of their wedding day was as beautiful as I have ever seen. Whitlock Inn was the location for both the ceremony and reception. The guest list was on the lighter side but the love for Kathie and Nick was felt heavily in every corner. How could you blame their guests? You can't help but enjoy being around this couple!
We took a group image of everyone in attendance on the front porch and were able to include the couple's dog, Murphy. That was a great request that we really hoped would be able to happen and it did!

Kathie and Nick- Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day. Kathie, you looked breath-taking and your signing matched your beauty. Nick, it is clear you have many dear friends. You never had a moment to breathe from all of the hugs from your guests. We had a great time and can't wait to continue this process with you!

Kathie's dress suited her so well. She looked amazing!

These stairs are a favorite of ours to photograph. You can see why.

Nick and Kathie's "First Look" was about an hour and a half before the ceremony. We love it when couples choose to see each other before the ceremony. It allows for a much more relaxed day

The ring bearer was adorable. He knew about his cars... just ask. Make sure you have time though because you will get into a deep conversation like Kathie found out (=

The touching ceremony was in the ballroom and was full of great light.

One of the most elegant cakes...

Did I mention Kathie's voice? It is amazing! She blew us all away while serenading her new husband during the reception.

Jennifer + Mike: Sneak Peek

We recently got to take another trip up to one of our favorite places to shoot weddings, Brasstown Vallery Resort. We love this place for the same reasons Jennifer fell in love with it. It is absolutely chock full of incredible views.

Jennifer and Mike traveled up from Florida to have their ceremony and reception in the north Georgia mountains. Their fun and funky personalities blended wonderfully with many of the traditional elements of the day.

Jen and Mike - You guys really know how to throw a party! The ceremony went off without a hitch and the reception was a blast! Not to mention the yummy food (= Jen, you looked gorgeous and totally rocked those lace-up boots. Mike, your fun personality was the life of the party. You could tell how much you are in love with each other. Thank you both for being so willing to try out a few different posing ideas and for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day. We can't wait to continue this process with you!

Update: I have more images to post later this weekend, so check back to see!

Jen had these cute Barbie bridal dolls to give as gifts to her adorable flower girls. They loved them!

You can see the beautiful views we had! Also Jen's dress was her mothers from 35 years ago (if I remember correctly). How sweet!

The details...

NEW Studio!!!

Hey everyone! Things have been completely crazy the last month... but in a good way. We have had weddings, portraits, babies and commercial work. But the thing that has taken up most of our time is our NEW STUDIO! Yep, that's right, we have moved into a commercial location on Main Street. We are still busy working on getting it set up but are almost ready to start seeing clients. It will take a good month or so to get it 100% but we are SO excited! We have plenty of parking, a viewing and reception room, an office and of course a huge studio. We are by appointment only so give us a call if you would like to schedule an appointment. More to come...
