Amy + Josh: Sneak Peek

Wow! What a crazy holiday season! We hope you all had a wonderful past week as we have. We are eagerly looking forward to the new year, seeing many of you again and hopefully meeting many more awesome clients!

To ring out 2008, we had the pleasure of working with Amy and Josh at their wedding on Saturday. We couldn't have asked for a nicer couple to end our year with. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at their church in Cartersville. Even though Amy looked stunning in her white dress with red trim, their daughter Lily stole the show. Of course, we knew that would happen. She was the center of attention at their engagement session as well! See below for a sneak peek.

Amy and Josh- We feel very lucky to have been a part of your wedding day. Amy, you looked beautiful and had that sparkle that only brides on their wedding day have. Josh, your smile is infectious and anyone around you couldn't help but catch it. We wish you all a wonderful New Year and the best wishes for your marriage. You guys are great!

I love this one.

In Amy's dressing room... the reflection in the mirror rocks!

Amy and Josh decided to see each other before their ceremony. That makes the day so much smoother!

During the ceremony, Amy and Josh presented Lily with a locket right after they exchanged rings. What a wonderful way to include a child! She will remember this forever.

Chocolate...yummy....

The colors of the wedding were black and red... UGA colors. Amy was tired of seeing them for so long so she decied to put on a Ga Tech garter just for Josh. The look on his face was hilarious. Needless to say, he was more than happy to throw it.

One of my faves from the day.

Where the Heck is Matt?

I don't know why really but I had to post this. I had seen it awhile back but this is a new version. No message, just fun. Although, it really makes me get a little misty eyed when I think about how we are all so similar (and goofy!) all over the world.

Little Wonder: Tate - 6 Month

Yesterday, we had the absolute joy of working again with Tate, his mommy and his big sister. What an precious pair of siblings. It took a few minutes for Tate to get into things, but once mommy got to tickling him, there were smiles galore. Tate's sister Kendyl is equally charming with a most beautiful smile. However, she waited patiently with her Ariel Barbie and My Little Pony until she was asked to pose in an image. What well behaved kids!

What a cutie!

I LOVE the hoodie his mom brought.

Awww, they are so cute together!

Harris Family

On Sunday, we met with the Harris Family for a lovely family portrait in our studio. A while back, we captured Mark and Octavia's Wedding along with a maternity session a few years after. What a treat to be involved with this family thought its many changes! We had so much fun with them and their boys.

Jessie and Stephen: E-Session

Last Sunday we had the pleasure of working with Jessie and Stephen. We first met them at Jose and Leslyn's wedding a couple of moths ago and we are just thrilled to get to work with them for their wedding in May!

Adorable as they could be, they braved the chilly weather and worked the session. Jessie has this infectious giggle and Stephen knows exactly how to make it happen. They both seemed so comfortable in each others arms and the love between them is undeniable. Thank you guys for being such great sports! It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Marietta Square!

What a beautiful dip!

Winners and Maps of Awesome!

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated this Christmas season last weekend with us! We had a blast. The parade was pretty awesome, the tree was huge and you guys were fun to hang out with! Also, a big thanks to everyone who entered to win a free portrait sitting and 16x20 print. The winner we drew is... Shelley Holland! Congratulations Shelley!

In the spirit of giving, we have joined up with Giving is Awesome. Read on...

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. We guarantee it.

We want to know who they are, and we want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography session and goodies -- $300 worth, to be exact. Whether it's images for Grandma, a huge wall portrait or a slideshow to watch over and over, it's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a free session as well. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve -- get nominating!

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside somewhere relatively close to Woodstock, Georgia. Tell us who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve our artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail us the full story: spsite@springfieldphotography.com. Please note that this e-mail address is for this process only. For other e-mail inquires, visit our website!

We can't wait to read all of your entries! Open your heart to someone this holiday season -- and thanks for giving us the opportunity to open ours.

With love,
Springfield Photography

Christmas Jubilee This Weekend!

This weekend will be full of winter festivities! Here is a look at what is going on at Springfield Photography and in the city...

Friday Night - Friday Night Live "Christmas on Main"

December 5th will mark the next installment of the wildly popular Woodstock Friday Night Live series. The Downtown Merchants aim to make this a Christmas celebration that you will never forget. Participating merchants will be having their Christmas open houses for the event. This is a perfect chance to Christmas shop in Olde Towne Woodstock as many stores will be having special sales during the event.

The fun will start at 5pm and will go to 9pm. Around town, there will be live music, carolers, tasty treats, arts and crafts, along with special visits from elves, Mrs. Claus and the jolly man in red himself! I have heard even the Grinch will be lurking around somewhere! You can also stop at one of the restaurants for a yummy dinner. There is plenty of public parking available (look for signs) and a courtesy shuttle will be running for the event.

Saturday - Woodstock Christmas Jubilee

Most of the events start at 4pm when the annual holiday parade begins. Starting at Hwy 92, it travels down Main Street spreading an infectious holiday spirit. I would advise you to get your place to watch early so that the kids have a great view. If you can make it to our studio before the parade, we have a 2.5 foot ledge at the end of our parking lo next to the road, that is has a great view. Don't forget, Santa is expected to make a special trip from the North Pole just for the parade!

Right after the parade, Santa will head to the City Park to visit with the little ones about their wish lists. Also, the Mayor will announce the parade float winners, the citizen of the year and the tree will be lit for the holiday season!

The most important thing is happening here at our studio (though I may be a little biased)! We will be open from noon-until the festivities end with holiday music, snacks and a very special event! You can sign up for a FREE portrait session and 16x20 print from that session. Just swing by for a treat and to get your name on the list!

Also the holidays are the best time to consider family portraits while everyone is in town. If you book a December session with us this Saturday, you will receive a FREE mounted 11x14 from that session. If you book a December session with us the following week, you will receive a FREE set of 16 wallets from that session perfect to include in your holiday cards.

So don't miss out on all of the fun and specials! Stop by our studio on Saturday from noon-7pm.
