I hope everyone out there is safe a dry enjoying a nice sunny day for a change!
In the midst of all the rain, we finally got to meet up with Justin and Sona for their engagement session. This session had been on and off again due to rain but the sky cleared up (after calling for a 75% chance of rain) and it was beautiful!
They decided to have their images done at Atlanta Botanical Gardens which was a first for us. We had been there before just for fun but never with a client. We LOVED it! It was the perfect place with so many different areas to shoot in. Sona and Justin looked so elegant and were great to work with. I think we got some great images and we look forward to their wedding in October!
Enjoy!

Wedding number 2 from a couple of weekends ago...
Several months ago (oddly enough on the same day Brooke + Nick booked with us), we were contacted by Tammi. She was getting married the day after Nick and Brooke and was very interested in also booking with us too. Normally, knowing that Saturday's wedding was almost 6 hours away and we would be driving back up Sunday morning, we would have not had the date available. However, after explaining this to Tammi she still wanted to meet with us. Our concern was getting stuck in traffic and being late for her wedding. She was willing to take that risk and we are glad she did. Yes... it was a tiring weekend but we had an assistant and it was really alot of fun!
Tammi and Kenny are just laid back, easy going people (at least they were on their wedding day!). They relaxed and really seemed to enjoy their wedding day together. Starting with a First Look, the love in their eyes for each other was immeadiately evident. Their friends and family were full of great personalities that made the whole event even more special. The ceremony was short, sweet and very touching while the reception was fun and laid back. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Tammi + Kenny: You guys were adorable! We had so much fun working with you and really hope we get to again when you start having little ones! We wish you a house full of love for many, many years to come!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of working with Melanie for a headshot session for her new book being published. (more info to come!) She was so easy to work with and wanted a mix of professional headshots along with some images just for herself. Enjoy!
P.S. These two are a little low res as I am waiting to get the raw files from the office. I will update with those as soon as I have them!

It seems like the other day when we saw Ms. Ella for the first time as a 3 month old. Boy has she grown up! Our most recent session with her and her mommy and daddy was so much fun! She has such an adorable personality and has the most expressive face. She works the camera just like a little model! It made our job so easy because all we had to do was say her name to get her attention and she just surprised us with one little face to the next. It was a blast. (= We ended the session outside as her mommy requested and Ella was off and running. She wore her mommy and daddy out chasing her all over the place but managed to stop a time or two for some very cute images. Enjoy the sneak peek!

A couple of weekends ago was a whirlwind. First we drove down to Jekyll Island and Saint Simons Island for Brooke + Nick's wedding on Saturday. Then we got up the next morning and drove back up to Tammi + Kenny's wedding in Hiram. Needless to say, it was a long but very fun weekend!
Starting off with Brooke + Nick...
We had met Brooke a couple of years ago at her friend Mel's wedding. When she booked her wedding with us we were so excited to work with her. We knew that she was a blast to be around and just as sweet as could be. We finally got to meet Nick and found out very quickly that they complimented each other's personalities so well. What was even more exciting was finding out that we were going to get a little trip down to Jekyll Island and St. Simons for their big day! It is amazingly beautiful there.
We started off with a First Look in the Chapel which was great! It allowed us time to capture all the formal images before the ceremony so that we only had one or two things to do before the reception. It was a little warm that day but everyone was a champ and we got some really beautiful shots. The ceremony was very intimate and was set against the beautiful backdrop of Faith Chapel built in 1904.
After the ceremony we headed to St. Simons Island to the reception site. We hurried to beat the high tide for some images on the beach. Unfortunately, by the time the whole bridal got there, the sand was gone. However, I love the images we got on the rocks. I think they are probably just a cool as images on the sand would have been. (=
The reception went off without a hitch. All the guests had a wonderful time as did the bride and groom. The atmosphere was all party and everyone let loose and had fun. I mean, you know it is a good party when you get to see your 90 year old grandmother out on the dance floor right? Brooke had the most beautiful dance with her new husband and the father-daughter/mother-son dances were so adorable.Eventually the bridesmaids all started dancing on chairs and Brooke got Nick up their to bust out some of his moves too!
The night ended with some very sexy images of the new Mr. and Mrs. so make sure to scroll all the way down to check them out!
Enjoy!
Ceremony - Jekyll Island Club - Faith Chapel
Reception - King and Prince Resort
Brooke + Nick- Thank you again for allowing us to capture your special day. We had a blast and were so welcomed by you and your families. We hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon. We love you guys!

For the last several months, our October has been booked up solid with weddings. We have had to turn a good number of weddings away because of that. However, we just received the unfortunate news that our October 10th event has been canceled.
We know it is close to the date already, but if there are any couples who fit the description below, give us a call!

I can't believe Mr. Cooper is already 1 year old! It has been a joy seeing him grow up and develop one of the cutest smiles we have ever seen. This session started off about the same as the rest have... with Cooper smiling and ready to go. I think he has this whole camera thing figured out now. Sometimes we would be talking to him and he would be completely serious but the second that camera popped up, he was showing his pearly-whites! one thing we have started doing during LW sessions is bringing out the air mattress. It is great because they just bounce all around and have fun (or just have a really comfy place to sit/lay if they aren't yet moving on their own). Copper seemed to have a blast as he giggled trying to race from one end to the other. Enjoy the sneak peek...
