Christmas Jubilee This Weekend!

This weekend will be full of winter festivities! Here is a look at what is going on at Springfield Photography and in the city...

Friday Night - Friday Night Live "Christmas on Main"

December 5th will mark the next installment of the wildly popular Woodstock Friday Night Live series. The Downtown Merchants aim to make this a Christmas celebration that you will never forget. Participating merchants will be having their Christmas open houses for the event. This is a perfect chance to Christmas shop in Olde Towne Woodstock as many stores will be having special sales during the event.

The fun will start at 5pm and will go to 9pm. Around town, there will be live music, carolers, tasty treats, arts and crafts, along with special visits from elves, Mrs. Claus and the jolly man in red himself! I have heard even the Grinch will be lurking around somewhere! You can also stop at one of the restaurants for a yummy dinner. There is plenty of public parking available (look for signs) and a courtesy shuttle will be running for the event.

Saturday - Woodstock Christmas Jubilee

Most of the events start at 4pm when the annual holiday parade begins. Starting at Hwy 92, it travels down Main Street spreading an infectious holiday spirit. I would advise you to get your place to watch early so that the kids have a great view. If you can make it to our studio before the parade, we have a 2.5 foot ledge at the end of our parking lo next to the road, that is has a great view. Don't forget, Santa is expected to make a special trip from the North Pole just for the parade!

Right after the parade, Santa will head to the City Park to visit with the little ones about their wish lists. Also, the Mayor will announce the parade float winners, the citizen of the year and the tree will be lit for the holiday season!

The most important thing is happening here at our studio (though I may be a little biased)! We will be open from noon-until the festivities end with holiday music, snacks and a very special event! You can sign up for a FREE portrait session and 16x20 print from that session. Just swing by for a treat and to get your name on the list!

Also the holidays are the best time to consider family portraits while everyone is in town. If you book a December session with us this Saturday, you will receive a FREE mounted 11x14 from that session. If you book a December session with us the following week, you will receive a FREE set of 16 wallets from that session perfect to include in your holiday cards.

So don't miss out on all of the fun and specials! Stop by our studio on Saturday from noon-7pm.
