Brooke+ Nick: Sneak Peek

A couple of weekends ago was a whirlwind. First we drove down to Jekyll Island and Saint Simons Island for Brooke + Nick's wedding on Saturday. Then we got up the next morning and drove back up to Tammi + Kenny's wedding in Hiram. Needless to say, it was a long but very fun weekend!

Starting off with Brooke + Nick...

We had met Brooke a couple of years ago at her friend Mel's wedding. When she booked her wedding with us we were so excited to work with her. We knew that she was a blast to be around and just as sweet as could be. We finally got to meet Nick and found out very quickly that they complimented each other's personalities so well. What was even more exciting was finding out that we were going to get a little trip down to Jekyll Island and St. Simons for their big day! It is amazingly beautiful there.

We started off with a First Look in the Chapel which was great! It allowed us time to capture all the formal images before the ceremony so that we only had one or two things to do before the reception. It was a little warm that day but everyone was a champ and we got some really beautiful shots. The ceremony was very intimate and was set against the beautiful backdrop of Faith Chapel built in 1904.

After the ceremony we headed to St. Simons Island to the reception site. We hurried to beat the high tide for some images on the beach. Unfortunately, by the time the whole bridal got there, the sand was gone. However, I love the images we got on the rocks. I think they are probably just a cool as images on the sand would have been. (=

The reception went off without a hitch. All the guests had a wonderful time as did the bride and groom. The atmosphere was all party and everyone let loose and had fun. I mean, you know it is a good party when you get to see your 90 year old grandmother out on the dance floor right? Brooke had the most beautiful dance with her new husband and the father-daughter/mother-son dances were so adorable.Eventually the bridesmaids all started dancing on chairs and Brooke got Nick up their to bust out some of his moves too!
